Full details of all the tests used in the session will be included for reference.

The assessment process;
​
Pre-assessment
A pre-assessment discussion (over phone/email) will take place to gather information about the learner. Information will also be requested from the learner’s school by way of a short questionnaire.
Assessment
The assessment takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete and will include a wide range of tests such as reading, phonological processing, spelling, working memory, visual perception and visual/verbal underlying abilities. The assessment can be completed either at your house, at school or at my house.
Post Assessment
The final detailed report (25 sides of A4 approx) will explain the results, Strengths and areas for development are detailed and strategies and interventions to support the child going forward are given. If a profile of dyslexia is found, the assessment offers an official diagnosis and can be used for exam access requirements. please note this will take up to 3 weeks.

After you receive the report. A post-report discussion is available (if required over phone/email) to talk through and answer any final questions.

DYSCALCULIA DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT

A full diagnostic assessment of dyscalculia to help you understand more about any mathematical difficulties.
The full diagnostic report you receive will include;
Summary of assessment report findings
Summary of background information from home and school/college, including the history of support at school/college
Detailed interpretation of test results, including:
General ability
Detailed look at mathematical ability.
Informal, qualitative tests of understanding of number that use subitising, symbolic and non-symbolic magnitude comparison, ordering and concrete tools to explore concept of number and number sense.
Timed and untimed standardised measures of Arithmetic (+, -, x, ÷). will help establish if time pressure makes a difference on performance.
Mathematics reasoning and problem solving, including word problem.
Cognitive processing skills, e.g. memory, phonological awareness, speed of phonological processing, etc.
